Caring for Your Smile

Caring for Your Smile
Dental health has far-reaching effects on overall wellbeing. A healthy mouth supports your ability to chew correctly and speak clearly, and is associated with a reduced risk of a number of systemic conditions. Caring for your smile has both physical and social benefits — and at Langmore Dental, our AHPRA-registered dentists offer a range of services to support your oral health.
Fissure Sealants
Fissure sealants are thin coatings applied to the pits and grooves of teeth — usually the premolars and molars — to help keep food particles and bacteria out of hard-to-reach areas. They are a preventive dentistry measure that may help reduce the risk of tooth decay in susceptible teeth. Suitability is assessed at consultation.
Cosmetic Smile Makeovers
A cosmetic smile makeover involves a combination of dental procedures tailored to your individual situation. At Langmore Dental, this may include a discussion of options such as teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental implants, or orthodontic treatment. The process typically begins with X-rays or photographs and a consultation to discuss what may be appropriate for you.
Cosmetic procedures are not suitable for all patients. Your AHPRA-registered dentist will assess your oral health and explain all options, including their risks, recovery, and realistic outcomes, before any treatment proceeds.
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin layers of porcelain custom-made to fit over the front surface of natural teeth. They may be considered for teeth that are discoloured, stained, chipped, or slightly misaligned. As with all cosmetic procedures, veneers involve a preparation process, a recovery period, and ongoing maintenance. Individual results vary, and suitability is assessed at consultation with an AHPRA-registered dentist.
Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening uses bleaching agents to reduce the appearance of stains and discolouration. Options include in-chair whitening and customised take-home trays. Not all patients are suitable candidates, and results depend on the type and severity of staining, natural tooth colour, and individual factors. Your dentist may discuss follow-up options as part of your ongoing care.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are titanium fixtures surgically placed in the jawbone to support a crown, bridge, or prosthesis. They are one option for replacing missing teeth. The procedure involves a surgical process and healing period. Individual outcomes vary depending on bone density, overall health, and other clinical factors. Your AHPRA-registered dentist will discuss whether implants are appropriate for your situation at a consultation.
All-On-4® Dental Implants
All-On-4® is a treatment option in which four strategically placed implants are used to support a full-arch dental prosthesis. It may be considered for patients who have lost a significant number of teeth or a full arch. As with all implant procedures, it involves a surgical process, healing period, and individual suitability assessment. Speak to one of our AHPRA-registered dentists to find out whether this option is appropriate for you.
